Dolby is bringing new 3D technology to home theaters and mobile video viewers. James Cameron talks about this new technology. Dolby 3D comprises two systems: glasses-free 3D for TVs, PCs, and portable devices; and a unique digital cinema technology. Both systems deliver sharp, vivid images with exceptional color fidelity and realistic 3D effects.

Spectacular 3D Picture: The most important aspect of any 3D technology is the picture, and Dolby

3D on Your TV, Laptop, or Mobile Device: Dolby 3D works on any 3D device: TV, tablet, laptop, or smartphone. It automatically optimizes 3D content for the specific device and screen size.

Full Resolution: Other 3D systems deliver only half-resolution to each eye. Dolby 3D upgrades these signals to full-resolution 3D for both glasses-free and traditional glasses-based 3D. You'll enjoy a much sharper picture.

Together with the Federal Foundation for Culture and in cooperation with the Goethe Institute, the Foreign Ministry and German producers, the World Cinema Fund works to develop and support cinema in regions with a weak film infrastructure, while fostering cultural diversity in German cinemas. The World Cinema Fund supports films that could not be made without additional funding: films that stand out with an unconventional aesthetic approach, that tell powerful stories and transmit an authentic image of their cultural roots.

WorldFest was founded over 50 years ago as an International Film Society in August, 1961. WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive International Film Festival in April, 1968. It was founded by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for the Independent filmmakers. Hunter Todd has been honored with more than 115 international awards for creative excellence in film production, and he has been the producer, director, writer and/or cameraman on more than 300 motion picture and video productions. The mission/vision statement of WorldFest is to recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film & video, to validate brilliant abilities and to promote cultural tourism for Houston, to develop film production in the region and to add to the rich cultural fabric of the city of Houston. All members of the WorldFest staff are filmmakers.
