MORTAL KOMBAT 2 new actors revealed

Although the production of Mortal Kombat 2 are on hold due to strikes in the film industry some new actors are already selected to play the character for the film: Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Tati Gabrielle as Jade and it has been also revealed that Adeline Rudolph will be playing Kitana, a popular character whose first appearance in the franchise dates back to 1993's Mortal Kombat II arcade game.

This isn't the first video game adaptation to bring in Rudolph, as she previously played the daughter of Albert Wesker in Netflix's short-lived Resident Evil series. She is also known for playing Agatha in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and had a recurring role in Riverdale. On the film side, Rudolph is also set to the upcoming comic book adaptation Hellboy: The Crooked Man from director Brian Taylor.

Simon McQuoid returns to direct Mortal Kombat 2 after helming the previous film. Jeremy Slater is writing the screenplay for the sequel. It's expected that some cast members from the original film will return, with Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero looking like a lock considering he's signed on to appear in up to five movies in that role. Chances are other actors like Jessica McNamee (Sonya), Mehcad Brooks (Jax), Tadanobu Asano (Raiden), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), and Lewis Tan (Cole Young) will also be returning.
