U.S. President Donald Trump ready to increase tariffs by 100% on foreign made films, California governor also encourages home made films but increasing tax credit

On May 4th, U.S. elected president Donald Trump suggested a 100% tariff on foreign made films to encourage growth and protect films made in the United States. California's state governor also added that California is ready to increase its tax credit program for films and TV to a $750 million annually.

"California built the film industry — and we're ready to bring even more jobs home," the governor wrote it on social media after that $7.5 billion figure got out. "We've proven what strong state incentives can do. Now it's time for a real federal partnership to Make America Film Again." - wrote the governor.

Due to many reasons, such as rising costs, union strikes, incentives in other countries California is ready to stand by its tradition and long going history with films and television and bring the jobs back to the state, while President Trump also encourages these workers to stay home and continue working.
