Director Tsui Hark confirms filming 'Legend of the Condor Heroes'

Jin Yong novels are popular, however not to many of them have been made into films yet. In 2017 Director Tsui Hark first announced that he has plan to remake the most popular of these novels THE LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES which already seen several adaptations in the past, including a TV series that aired in 2017.

Director Tsui Hark plans to shot this film in a trilogy format with three separate installments with the first titled LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES: THE GREAT HERO. Director Tsui has been planning to make one of these novels for decades but felt that the technology was not yet ready for this but recently he confirmed that he is working on the first of the three planned films. He will also direct this first installment and more likely to also be the director for the second and the third one, but that also depends on how successful the first film is going to be.

A call for screening for actors had already been issued in 2018 but not known if anyone those actors will actually signed up especially with a likely commitment of three films.
