Hong Kong stars Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) and Natalie Hsu (許恩怡) are set to receive special awards at the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) this July! Both most recently starred in Jill Leung’s romantic fantasy drama Last Song For You 《久别重逢》which will have its North American premiere at NYAFF. The film received seven nominations at the Hong Kong Film Awards including a best actress nod for Hsu.
Hong Kong actor Ekin Cheng will receive the prestigious "Star Asia Award" on July 14, celebrating his iconic roles and remarkable career across film, music and television. From Young and Dangerous 《古惑仔之人在江湖》 (screening in 35mm at NYAFF!) to fantasy epics The Storm Riders 《風雲雄霸天下》he "belongs to that rare class of actors who have not only shaped films but eras and culture,” said NYAFF president Samuel Jamier.

Ekin Cheng also starred in Director Tsui Hark's 2001 wuxia fantasy film THE LEGEND OF ZU where he played King Sky, an apprentice who was sent away by his master to gain higher skills.
Rising star, Hong Kong actress Natalie Hsu will be honored with the "Screen International Rising Star Award" on July 12, following standout performances in Last Song For You 《久别重逢》Cesium Fallout 《焚城》and Fly Me To The Moon 《但願人長久》
