Another big budget film was released on the 29th of January 2025, the film titled CREATION OF THE GODS 2: DEMON FORCE (a.k.a. DEMONIC CONFRONTATION). This new film is the second installment of the 'Creation of the Gods' series that is planned to have a total of three parts with the last most likely to be in theaters sometimes in 2026.
The first part of the series was titled CREATION OF THE GODS: KINGDOM OF STORMS was released in 2023 and was a box office hit in China and Asia, making it the 25th highest grossing film ever in China, however received mixed reviews from critics. The first film is a fictitious version of the political fallout following the ascension of the last king of Shang dynasty. After its release it won several awards not just in China but in countires such as Italy. The second part was originally scheduled for release in July of 2024 but due to the complexity of CGI work needed to be done it was pushed to January of this year.
The third part of the film titled 'CREATION UNDER HEAVEN' is currently in develpment and as we mentioned before most likly will be shown in theaters sometimes in 2026. All three films are directed by Chinese director Wuershan.
